Styroloft Loft boards are less than half the weight of chipboard. They are easy to cut, install and move in confined loft spaces. When insulating your loft, its easy to lay loft boards like Styroloft to give storage space or walk space.

The boards are 1200mm x 400mm with each loft board weighing less than 3Kg. Styroloft is many times more practical in terms of insulation compared to chipboard. After all in most lofts its not possible to walk in the small spaces of the loft edges area. Adapting this approach gives the recommended 270mm of loft insulation in the vast majority of the loft space.

Depending on budget the thicker Styroloft board insulation used gives the greatest thermal resistance benefit.
